Call for papers contributed to Geotechnical Engineering Journal of the SEAGS & AGSSEA Vol. 47 No.3 September 2016 ISSN 0046-5828

Theme: Advances in Geotechnical Engineering for Infrastructure Developments in Vietnam

Dear Colleagues,

Per invitation and suggestion of the Editor-in-Chief of the “Geotechnical Engineering”, the official journal of the SEAGS & AGSSEA, it is our pleasure to inform you that the editorial committee for this special issue has been set up and we now call for papers for this country issue with the theme on “Advances in Geotechnical Engineering for Infrastructure Developments in Vietnam”, with the major topics as below:

Ground improvement and characterization (including laboratory & field testing)
Deep foundations,
Underground constructions (including deep excavation and tunnelling)
Geohazards (including landslides, coastal erosion, land subsidence)
Case studies of major projects in Vietnam

For this Issue about 12 to 14 papers are envisaged with consideration of balances among topics and expertise. The tentative schedule for this issue is given below:

(1)Call for paper abstracts (1st January to 30th April, 2015)
(2)Notification on acceptance of abstract (on or before the 30th May 2015)
(3)Full paper submission (on or before 15th September, 2015)
(4)Revision and finalization of the papers (31st December, 2015)
(5)Manuscripts ready for publication ( 30 April, 2016)

Extended abstracts and full papers will be written in English following the attached abstract sample and full paper template. The abstracts and papers will be sent to the mail address phung.long@gmail.com or maitrieuquang@gmail.com. Further info can be found on our society VSSMGE website www.vssmge.net.
